Short-term Rentals: Bel-Air/Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council submits Community Impact Statement

At July 27, 2016 BABCNC Board Meeting, the Board voted unanimously to endorse Benedict Canyon Association’s opposition letter to the Negative Declaration with regard to the proposed Short-Term Rental Ordinance.

In summary, the Short-Term Ordinance can be expected to have significant impacts on fire safety and public safety in the very high fire hazard severity zones of the City. It is, therefore, inappropriate for the City to approve a Negative Declaration for the adoption of the ordinance and instead an Environmental Impact Report is required.
