Second Unit Dwellings (SUD) update: BAA's Position Letter regarding "Granny Flats"

The Bel-Air Association urged the City to not change long-standing City policy and rules protecting hillsides and other areas with regard to second unit dwellings (aka “Granny Flats”).

On Wednesday, August 31, 2016, the City Council set the stage to grandfather in second units that were already approved or in the pipeline, as long as owners had submitted their plans to the city. The grandfather plan will return to lawmakers on September 6, 2016 for approval.
