Metro News that affects Bel-Air: Sepulveda Transit Corridor and an alternative plan for METRO consideration

The Bel-Air/Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council Traffic Committee held a meeting Thursday where Sherman Oaks Homeowners Association and Neighborhood Council member, Bob Anderson, presented an affordable alternative Valley-to-LAX Monorail Route through the Sepulveda Pass as well as raises questions whether or not there will be adequate funding that was set aside by Measure M.  It is an impressive study.  Mr. Anderson asked for the community’s help by for METRO to even consider the alternative plan.

If you are so inclined, please take a look at the alternative plan and compare it to the four other plans of METRO’s Sepulveda Transit Corridor that are still in the feasibility phase of planning.  On the last page of the MRT2 An Affordable Alternative Monorail Route presentation, there is contact information for any comments you wish to send.

For your information, METRO’s Board of Directors includes Sheila Kuehl, who is Chair,  and Mayor Eric Garcetti is the Second Vice Chair.
