Message from LA Sanitation Dept: Proper disposal of SHARPS

SHARPS is a term used to describe items used to puncture skin. Examples are hypodermic needles, suture needles, syringes, lancets and pre-filled pens. To dispose of these items, please place them in a sealed container (you can purchase a red sharps container at most drugstores or you can use something like an empty laundry detergent bottle) and take them to one of our seven SAFE Centers around the City: www.lacitysan.org/san/faces/wcnav_externalId/s-lsh-wwd-s-c-hw-safemc
