Beverly Hills residents warned about a developer’s realtor’s push to gather petition signatures to rescind the new Beverly Hills Basement Ordinance

Dirty tricks?  Earlier this week, the BEVERLY HILLS COURIER discovered a mysteriously-backed petition gathering signature to rescind the new Beverly Hills Basement Ordinance.  After investigation, it was discovered the petition was connected with a developer who has a controversial project on Loma Linda Drive.  After the COURIER’s first publication of the story, the COURIER received a letter from an attorney associated with Canadian developer, Francesco Aquilini, threatening a defamation lawsuit and demanding a retraction; BH COURIER refused to retract their story.  It now has been discovered the petition is spearheaded by Acquilini’s realtor, Branden Williams, and attorney Bradley Hertz.
