Update: Advisory Message from EMD: Residents affected by the Skirball Fire should be prepared for upcoming rain showers

Advisory - Update

Residents affected by the La Tuna, Creek and Skirball Fire areas should be prepared for upcoming rain showers.

The following is an advisory message from the Los Angeles Emergency Management Department (EMD):

Individuals who reside in the areas affected by the La Tuna Canyon, Creek and Skirball fires should consider their storm preparedness. Another system is following Thursday’s rain that may bring in a small chance of rain on Saturday. A more potent system is expected to arrive next Wednesday and Thursday.

Neighborhoods in or near burn scar areas could be vulnerable to the potential for mud slides and/or debris flows.

No evacuations are currently in effect.

If the situation changes, additional NotifyLA messages will be sent.
