Emergency Preparedness: LAFD's Auxiliary Communications Service (ACS) to host Ham Radio Basics Workshop this Sunday, Oct 7th

Join us Sunday, October 7th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Bel Air Ridge Clubhouse for a “Ham Radio Basics” session of questions, answers and learning. 

Have a question about what radio to purchase?  Don’t know how to save a frequency in your favorite 2m radio? Offset & PL tone… What’s that?   Bring those questions and we’ll try and answer them!  Everybody is welcome, new hams, old hams and everything in-between as we need “elmers” to help give advice to those asking questions!  Bring your radios and manuals.  If you don’t have a radio yet..we will have some to train with.
