Special Notice: Bel-Air Country Club prepares to host competitor practice rounds for upcoming 117th U.S. Amateur Championship

To the neighbors of Bel-Air Country Club,

As you may  know, Bel-Air Country Club will be co-hosting the 117th U.S. Amateur Championship with The Riviera Country Club beginning this coming weekend. As the oldest golf championship in America, the U.S. Amateur has been the most coveted and prestigious amateur golf title throughout its history. We are very fortunate this week to see the best amateurs in the world play on two of the best courses in the country, not just Southern California.

Before the match play rounds take place at Riviera later next week, Bel-Air will be hosting practice rounds throughout this weekend, with stroke play rounds to be held on August 14th-15th. Accordingly, to accommodate tournament play on these days, the preparation of our golf course and grounds will require our staff to perform its duties in the early morning and late evening hours. It is our goal to keep all disturbances to our neighbors at a minimum. Furthermore, while players will be allowed to park at the Clubhouse on Bellagio Road, the Club has negotiated with UCLAto assist in tournament patron parking and shuttling, with the patron entrance being located at our shared gate with Marymount High School, just off of Sunset Boulevard. We do not anticipate any excess traffic inconveniences to be incurred upon our neighbors during this time.

We certainly appreciate your cooperation during these next few days as Bel-Air Country Club, once again, proudly represents our community on this historical occasion in American golf.

Please let me know if you need anything else from our end.

Thank you!
