The Bel-Air Association wants to alert the community on a recent crime spree:

There has been a rash of reports of a man driving a compact silver/grey Toyota that neighborhood video surveillance has captured stealing packages at gates and on porches.

If you were a victim of such a theft, please file a report by calling the West LA LAPD Station between the hours of 7 AM and 11 PM, and/or contact our Senior Lead Officer Pete Ojeda at 36393@lapd.online, telephone number (310) 444-0741.

Although alerts are appreciated on Nextdoor, it is important for victims to file reports with LAPD. LAPD does not monitor Nextdoor.

Preventative measures for package delivery and US Postal Service:

Please track your packages and retrieve them after delivery as soon as possible.  Also, consider diverting you packages for pick-up at a secure address so that packages are not left unattended.
